Some of his publications include "The 7 AHA!s of Highly Enlightened Souls"; "Don't Get MAD Get Wise" and "In the Light of Meditation".

 

The purpose of the seminar was to give participants a clear insight into the cause and effect of emotions, the distinction between emotion and feelings and how both can be harnessed to enhance your management skills and leadership style.

Eileen Forrester

CMMI for Services: Results, Opportunities, and Plans
Eileen Forrester, the SEI Program Manager for the CMMI for Services, presented an overview on the results and status of CMMI-SVC use to date, opportunities for users and partners, and what’s coming this year. CMMI-SVC V1.3 will be released in November of 2010, and attendees will get an early look at the planned changes.

Eileen also discussed the fit of CMMI-SVC with other models, such as ITIL, and opportunities to participate in future activities.

Marilyn Bush

Marilyn Bush is one of the original authors of The Capability Maturity Model: Guidelines for Improving the Software Process(1995) and co-author of CMMI Assessments: Motivating Positive Change (Addison-Wesley, 2005). Bush became a consultant on the international scene after twenty years of engineering and management experience culminating in a position as senior manager and headquarters-level consultant on software improvement issues at NASA. Her specialty involves working with senior management to implement process improvement, and she is currently one of the world's most experienced CMM and CMMI Lead Appraisers.

Chris Gerrard

Chris has extensive experience of organising and managing software development and maintenance operations. He has implemented software development best practice in organisations in industries as diverse as banking, manufacturing, telecoms and defence.

 

His primary work aim is to ensure development shops operate effectively, following professional, repeatable processes with minimal System Development, System Deployment, Service and Maintenance risk. He successfully led a multi-platform programme with 50+ developers and 60+ testers to very tight deadlines with board-level focus and participation. Chris is an advocate of the CMMI and has successfully led many large organisations (700+ software developers) to improved Capability Maturity levels, achieving significant, substantiated changes to performance and effectiveness en-route.
